Fieldtrip coordinators would: 1.) find out if we can get a group rate, and the minimum number required to get the rate, 2.) send HEART an email with all of the information including their contact info. and a deadline and mailing address for people to send in their money (which we will send out to all members), 3.) and keep a list of everyone who commits to participate and pays. When at all possible, it is preferred for each family to pay individually, however, some places will not extend a group rate unless one payment is made for all. Of course, some fieldtrips would not involve a cost.

Social Activities for one of the following age groups (preschool - K, 1st-2nd, 3rd-4th, 5th-6th, middle school, high school) - Need several volunteers throughout the year to coordinate one activity. This is to provide the children with opportunities to be with their own age group.
Science and Literature Fair - Coordinator would find a location, secure judges, help with placement of projects upon students' arrivals, and secure volunteers to bring and serve refreshments
Creative Arts Exhibit - Coordinator would work with the coordinator of the Performing Arts Recital to secure location, secure judges to critique exhibits, help with placement of exhibits upon students' arrivals, and secure volunteers to bring and serve refreshments
Spelling Bee - We have someone willing to help coordinate, but who has no previous experience in coordinating an "official" spelling bee. Need someone with either a passion for this subject, or, with knowledge of how to go about participation in the Scripps National Spelling Bee organization
Career Day - Would need a committee to coordinate securing area professionals, businesses, and schools to have a booth; securing a location; securing volunteers to help set up and to bring & serve refreshments
Graduation and Awards Ceremony - Coordinator would need to solicit others to help with the following: securing a location, getting a speaker, coordinating students who will perform/speak during the ceremony, getting a pianist, printing awards certificates, diplomas and programs, coordinating reception, ordering caps & gowns (if desired)
Communications program (Communicators for Christ or something comparable) - Students would learn how to effectively communicate their faith along with presentation skills and interpersonal communication skills
Debate Team and/or Scholar Bowl Team - If you could be on Jeopardy you'd be a great leader for the Scholar Bowl Team, and if you're an attorney, or if no one can win an arguement with you, you'd be a great leader for a Debate Team. The goal would be for HEART students to compete with other teams!
Missions Club - Involving our children, from 1st grade and up, in opportunities to become involved in missions. This could be done through service projects and volunteering at the local level, and fundraising for non-local missions. It would be great to have a leader for a younger age group, and another leader for an older age group.
